Measurements of methane emissions and organization of installation and construction works (systems of breathing gas collection) for reduction of methane emissions from oil storage tanks due to collection, use and/or enclosed flaring of such breathing gases.
The purpose of the second stage – to develop a project design document (PDD) in accordance with methodology AM0122 «Recovery of methane-rich vapours from hydrocarbon storage tanks» (CDM) and rules of the German Emissions Trading Authority (DEHSt), including technical solutions of emissions reduction and monitoring plan of the results.
5. Joint implementation of LDAR program by Vema SA and ICA-Finance AS at UzbekNefteGaz (UNG) oil, associated and natural gas production facilities.

The aim of the project is to reduce emissions and generate emission reductions units (UERs) in accordance with the German Regulation on Emission Reductions in Extraction and Production in accordance with methodology AM0023 ‘Leak Detection and Repair in Gas Production, Processing, Transport, Storage and Distribution Systems and Refineries’ (CDM) and according to the rules of the German Emissions Trading Authority (DEHSt).
The project includes: identification, detection, measurement of methane leaks/emissions, as well as organisation of repair works to eliminate methane emissions/leaks, development and implementation of a monitoring programme for timely detection and removal of emissions/leaks of methane at equipment of oil and gas production cycle of JSC “Uzbekneftegaz”.
6. Identification, analysis and development of proposals to eliminate methane emissions at Uztransgaz equipment.

The Project was implemented to compile a register of gas equipment and its location, analyse gas equipment and points of gas equipment for most probable spots of losses – selection of most typical points for project implementation and design/plan a more detailed work plan for a follow-up technical methane emissions audit to inspect and take measurements at all relevant points with additional specialized equipment as needed in future.
